Winter is here in Minnesota, why am I?

My departure has been delayed while we wait for Amelia (daughter) to arrive for a short visit and to pick up the two cats. They will now be living with and keeping her company.

I’m working on finishing touches and starting to load the van and adding some homey touches. Unfortunately, due to the MN cold, much of what I’m taking can’t be put in the van until the day of departure which I’m expecting to be about the 6th or 7th of December.

I needed to add a bit more storage for food so I built a small shelf that I screwed to the top of the secretary. I didn’t center it as I will need the remaining space for my coffee pot etc.

2019- Expanding my future by converting a 2017 Ram Promaster 1500 into my RV home for the road. I'm a mother of two boys and two girls and a blessed grandmother of Gabe and Isabella. I'm retired from a government job and currently living in northern Minnesota at an RV park. I purchased a park model home so I could retire at 60 and still have a good quality of life. The park model was a replacement for my dream of a tiny home and has worked out well. My dream of having a tiny home and being able to travel, didn't go away completely and actually began to resurface. Thus I purchased my cargo van a month ago and am in the process of converting it. I invite you to join me in this new adventure and look forward to your feedback, good and bad, that will encourage and inform me along the way.
